Yes I remembered your flattened solder wire for the strap to hold the 50 cal's barrel to the lifting loop

Mike.
Yes the duckbills look cool especially muddied up. I also hope they help a little bit running it outside. But the chevron tracks work well even without them just the extra width will help. The hull separation concern was easily solved once I realized the stowage could be made one piece for removal which allowed me to cut the tow cable where nobody could see it. I could I suppose now attach the tow cable loop to it's clamp and leave it attached to the transmission cover but I 'll wait until it get knocked off on the filed. I've always made my tanks dusty but this was my first time doing mud so I didn't want to go overboard
Yes I put the magnets in this morning so the JB Weld is curing as I write. I was hoping the magnets might just stick to the metal transmission cover but no such luck. I had so many of those magnets from an Amazon order 5 years ago I've been giving them to anybody who would take them off my hands. I only have 3 tanks whose hulls are magnetized to hold them on. While the stowage was secure without them the little bit of extra security can't hurtMrChef wrote: ↑Mon Feb 09, 2026 8:41 pmYou just solved a challenge I was facing in my project. Regarding your front stowage, to secure it and be able to remove it, I would put a magnet in the crate and a piece of metal or another magnet behind the transmission cover.I'll share on my build.
Hey Marty, this is the perfect solution. I just ordered a grip of neodymium rare earth magnets for $12 on Amazon-https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BLSLZ8JN?re ... title&th=1 They'll be perfect for me I'm sure they'd be perfect for your stowage.
