Bulldozer overhaul using FSi6S 10 channel radio system

Post by modler »

I have three of these Bulldozers to work with. The one in this thread has a ripper attachment on it and will have a engine sound system with on\off and volume control. So a 6 channel radio is not going to work. It currently has a Spectrum Dx6i radio system which works great just not enough channels for the overhaul. I have already removed the old radio system which has worked well for 2 years. Below is a video of this setup in action.

Things done in this upgrade.
1. 10 channel radio upgrade.
2, new wiring.
3. Limit switches added to Dozer Blade.
4. Engine sound with volume control + on\off switchable.

more as time allows

Dual cooling fans for the track motors. Holes drilled in motor casing help with the cooling. Without cooling, motor casing will deform with heat on a summer day if no cooling. Ask me how I know lol.

The 4 output leads on the ESC plug into male pinned JST connectors with no polarity so easy to change polarity if needed by just reversing the connection at the JST.
