Taigen Tiger I Servo Recoil Not Working
Hi all... a couple years ago I purchased a used Tiger I with Taigen upper hull & V3 electronics and Mato lower hull & suspension... gradually I've fixed & modified it in various ways ("Tiger 124" has shown up here on the site more than once, usually to describe some audio improvement I've made), and now I'm down to the final thing on my fix-it list: it has an Airsoft barrel with recoil (apparently servo), but the recoil won't function when the cannon is fired. The Airsoft works fine, just no recoil. I think it is hooked up properly because the gun does recoil a single time when the tank is first switched on, properly going in then out, so it is not just stuck in the 'in/recoiled' position. I can hear a servo 'fight' me when i gently pull on the barrel, so it is powered & active. But why won't it recoil when fired? The elevation works properly so I do not think the 3-pin wire connected to the daughter board got reversed or anything, but I'd welcome all suggestions to troubleshoot... thanks!

Anything to save a Tiger
Can you share a picture of inside the turret?
I know of these units but haven't worked with the Taigen hybrid BB/Servo recoil yet. If noone comes around with an obvious fix it would be good to see what were working with. Heres some videos from back when Erik was at Imex/Taigen. Maybe you can see something that you've missed.

Photo of the servo module,
From the top view, the small plug is the 5-volt power supply, plus/minus
Photo of the servo
View from below, The red wire is positive 5 volts, coming from the BB firing switch. It should only activate during recoil, so it should be connected to one of the two existing wires.

And IIRC seen in the video I posted above the servo is dependant on the micro-switch. Sooooo could be a good idea to check that the micro switch is making proper contact and not loose.
