The rarest Tank in the World!

Post by Panzerman »

Took these pics in Brisbane, Australia in July this year, there is also a replica in the Munster Museum.
Being the only one this A7V would have to be up there as far as the rarest tank in the world is concerned!

She is housed in a glass case so there is a bit of glare.

Thank-you for this post, never would have guessed that their was a survivor way down under. The history on the link is also very interesting and seems to be very accurate.I wonder if it could be restored to running order?Truly has to be the rarest tank on the planet.Saxondog

Yes quite amazing to think the last German WW I tank from the mud and trenches of
Europe would end up in Brisbane Australia!? The story of how she got there and then
survived for 90 years is quite amazing!

The museum sell a little booklet with some great detail pictures, the inside is very sad
plus due to her rarity I think she won't be having much done to her.

I have been thinking about making up a scratch built topsides to put on to of one of my
other tanks, she would have the wrong wheels of course but still be close enough.
