trying to fix an older Tiger I

Post by goodhunting »

Hi

I have an older HL Tiger I tank with all plastic tracks, idlers, drive wheels and all.

I would like to replace all these with metal parts and was wondering which hull would be better in this case:

the Toro half metal half plastic one
https://www.torro-shop.de/Metal-chassis ... scale-1-16

or Mato all metal
https://matotanks.com/product/mato-116- ... 79ecTDAB81

just trying to have some fun and give this old kitty some new life

Whenever I buy a Heng Long Tiger 1 at the same time I buy a Taigen/Torro Metal Hull,
My dealer of choice being
www.forgebeartanks.com
Dave has a nice choice of hulls, Well worth looking at.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

I prefer the Torro / Taigen track tensioning system personally, but you can't go wrong either way... the Torro saves some weight by being partially plastic (thus saving long term wear & tear on your motors), but is still plenty sturdy

I would for me go with the Taigen/Torro hull as its a good bit cheaper and seems really robust
And as Jarndice said Forgebear is where to get it
