Those are colorful small markings, symbols sure to make one curious as to their various significance. I would be tempted to keep weathering to a minimum, as a well-cared for peace time AFV.

For right out of the box that is a great looking tank. Like HDP said it really only needs subtle weathering and you have a winner there.

I am still considering one of these, however the Jury is out between this, the Tongde, or Haya’s version. There are pros, and cons for each, and both would require some work. Presumably the Tongde, version has a generic engine sound, as opposed to the correct sound?
I too look forward to seeing how you proceed with this.

Nothing to say you can't put the Clark board in the Tongde

Sadly, having tried a Clark Board, I have realised that they require more skill to program them, than I have. I am just a little bit afraid of them, and damaging the board.

No worries guys i dont mind a bit off topic
This Centurion was 1 of a group that was stationed in Berlin between 1961 - 63
They were all named beginning with a D like Dido , Dignity , Distain etc
I dont think it will be more than a light weathering as it progresses but we shall see
Only thing i dont like about it at the moment is it has an integral battery and its charged in situ through a port next to on off switch
I havnt opened it up yet to see how easy/hard it will be to change to a higher capacity battery and i have ordered magnets to do away with the hull screws
Cheers

The battery should just be plug and play. Would be a bit careful with removing things from the lower hull as have seen some posts and videos of boards being glued to the lower hull rather than on sticky pads.
They do look nice with the 105 barrel over the 20 pounder makes it look meaner.

That's a colourful set of decals. Looks great on the green.
Once it's up and running, let us know how you find the controls and sounds--especially if there's much electronics whine. I've heard both ends of the spectrum about Tongde system.

Hi youl be pleased to know I am not aware of any electronics whine when I trundled it about the living room
I tried it with the sound turned down low and at various speeds there was no whine that I noticed
Cheers
