Hola Again!
I was looking this Tank over along with my Churchill and it helped cement an opinion in my admittedly ( Stone Brain ) mind. Tongde has garnered an unfair reputation for lack of 'Crispness' with the details and I just don't see it. Aside from maybe leaving off the molded on tiedowns, ( just let us add our own ala' Torros Jagdtiger, etc. ), I see nothing wrong with the molded on details and quite a bit to recommend the vehicle. Anything needed can be sharpened up with a couple of passes of a fine grain File then painted and detailed to suit. Just like Heng Long, Taigen, Coolbank, etc.
Well, anyway, enjoy that cool new Toy, Alan!
regards,
Painless

I have to admit after visiting Bovington and seeing the Centurions up close there I was tempted to buy the Tamiya one. I know everybody likes to do the IDF one but I think if I get anymore tanks I might be moving into the Korean War era.

the model Tongde do is a Brittish tank that was stationed in Berlin in the early 60's so i think i will keep as that era
I sort of grew up with the cold war period and something i remember so i think it will remain for now anyway British

Might I be allowed to offer a couple of tips,
The Tongde Tow rope is a disappointing piece of black cotton,
Haya sell a steel Tow rope set which with not much in the way of modification will fit,
Also on each rear corner an upright with a slot that holds the tow rope securely is according to the instructions supposed to have the open slot facing outward,
THAT IS WRONG,
If you do that the tow rope will not stay in place ,
Mount it with the open slot facing inward you won't regret it.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
