Slow, slow progress (although with multiple projects underway simultaneously). Soon a kind fellow RCTW-er may be able to help me with headlights and a few other printed goodies. The truck runs fine. I find it interesting and fortunate that the truck runs forward rather slowly and backward even more so. I did not set these speeds intentionally: they just happened as I set up the FlySky FS6iX. I have fiddled and tried and fiddled more with the transmitter settings, but to no avail. Nonetheless, I am quite happy with the speeds as they are.

What battery are you using in the truck? Is it 6 pack Nimh/NiCad or Li-Ion/Lipo?
The 370 motor i have put in the truck loves a good 2s lipo and i built for torque, although if using a 6 pack stick it will be slower as they are slightly lower voltage. The Esc is 50% set for reverse compared to forward.

The CCKW runs on either, but I have been using a 2S Lithium Ion. I really do like the fact that it runs forward slowly, at a realistic 'forties truck speed.

My latest wish (as I am immersed in other projects, too) is to construct the bows (not difficult) and the canvas cover (unh...sewing has always baffled me and eluded my meagre skill set) for the box. That way, I can hide the battery and still make it look from the rear as if it were loaded with supplies.

The torque in this truck is really good, it means you can hitch up a load behind and it will handle nicely

Now you make me want to run right downstairs and drive the CCKW around some more. I enjoy maneuvering it in tight spots.
