Good Evening,
Tools, Axe, Hammer and Spade were cleaned up and made to look like wood and metal. Brass Clamps and Mounts were added. This sentence is quick to type out. The work it describes, not so much. ;0) The Tab on the back of the Turret Hatch was removed and the paint touched up. Holes were drilled and a correct Handle added. All in All, a Fun Afternoon!
regards,
Painless

Jeez I love your finessing work Mr Wolf.......
And sharing vision on what it looks like close up, before prepping, clean up & paint, so we can all get the hang of it.

If only I could convince you to do MUD like I did with Mr Chef to get an airbrush !! :haha: :haha: :haha:

Your skill shows through again. Mrs Rat was convinced that the spade show in the second photo was real. I had to look twice.
You don’t get wiser as you get older. You just run out of stupid things to do.

Herman! Mr. Rat!
Good Morning from Colorados freezing heights! Thank you both for looking in. I appreciate the encouragement! Mr. Bix, I have an airbrush and can see using it for better dust effects. Not sure about the mud, Sir. I got a chuckle from imagining you and the Wife poring over my efforts. Thank you very much, Mr. Rat. I needed the smiles. More fun to follow.

Good Afternoon,
Pulled out the 3D printed periscopes that I have for this Tank. The Cupola ones should be easier to install than the two I am currently looking at. These are the Driver and Radio Operators periscopes. I have an idea or two on how to get them securely mounted. They will need to be painted first. They are much more complex than the two I used for the Prototype Turret King Tiger and the interior detail will not often be seen. I will know that they are there. ;0)

Fantastic work mister PainlessWolf.
I really love how you painted the tools. That shovel wood handle looks awesome!
The 3d printed periscopes are nice touch. Keep up the good work!

Love your attention to the little details Mr. Wolf. I'm actually trying to slow down and do some myself on my current build. The key is in the slowing down like you and maybe doing one thing a session

Going to also try true mud rather than just dust for the first time myself so hopefully Mr. Bix won't be too critical if I make a complete mess of it :haha:

I've seen some absolute mud botch jobs on tanks guys in the club have bought very cheap off the eBay and kijiji type sites so I've always been hesitant. Some have needed some insane rehab :O

M. Tox! Panzermechaniker!,
The Tools are just sanded to add a wood effect to the plastic. The Brass parts will get painted to match the surface that they are attached to. I hope that the Periscope mount ideas work out. Panzermechaniker, I'm looking forward to seeing how your Detailing works out! Plenty of help here with application of weathering, Mr. Bix for example! More fun to come!
