Well Howdy there 🤠!

Finally got my plastic Henglong KT v7.0! Very glad that one of the sound options has the real KT engine sounds 😁👍! Tested all the functions and everything seems to be working OK! Smoker working fine, driving is good and firing as well! Already adjusted Controls to the slowest possible speed for more realism :D! I've ordered some water slide decals for the King Tiger 104 variant which is at The Bovington Tank Museum :D (I've been taking some selfies with this tank in 2013 :D !) Next thing on my list will be Airbrush, Dry brush and learning how to weather the tank (already seen some vids on YT so have a rough idea ;) ) ! Overall pretty happy! Let's go 💪🪖!

This is great to hear! Yes, an airbrush is a good next purchase. Weathering is fun, and there are so may ways to do it that I never stop experimenting. I look forward to your questions and successes!

Get a can of good matte clearcoat like Testor's "dullcote" and spray your new King Tiger. The camouflage on that Heng Long is actually decent and a perfect BIG canvas to practice all sorts of weathering. The Matte clearcoat will blend the different camouflage painted colors, green, brown. The shiny spots where the factory sprayed too heavy will blend better. The stock Basecoat "Tan" isn't too far from dunkelgelb. The green camo is pretty close to the Olivegrun. The brown is a bit too dark and chocolatey but you'll be working on weathering and when you've practiced a bunch and had fun you can repaint the whole thing.

Yep and that's just the tip of the iceberg. And I've watched all of these videos Multiple times. Sometimes I'll just play them in the background when I'm working on something.

Cool its arrived
Ive found really good matches for the paint Heng Long used on the KT are
Tamiya olive drab XF-62
Tamiya yellow brown XF-92
Humbrol army green M102
Handy for touching up areas they missed at the factory
Cheers

Hey Man :)!

Thanks for the advice, ordered a matte clearcoat spray and will do that first before I apply any extra paint or decals etc :) 👍!
