FYI.
You can get Mitre Bond and a tin of activator for £5.99 from Screwfix at the moment. We use it for gluing kitchen cornices and is a normal super glue. Glue is a 50g(1.5 fl oz) bottle and a 200ml can of activator.
Gorilla super glue in B&Q is £9.90 for just a 25g bottle.

I've found that this type of dispenser with the side 'squeeze' grips keeps the glue consistently flowing nicely... I use the 'Gel' version for more control (the 'Liquid' one is very runny) but it has a bit longer set time

Get a "kicker" or activator as moogie shows and you'll be really happy. I saw Adam Savage use it building a model of something and was amazed. I also remember thinking that I'd never need super glue to set instantly. As I go further into scratch building and find I need more than 3 hands at a time, using a kicker to instantly set a longer setting CA glue is a gift from the modeling gods.

I use the "Liquid" super glue (in this same style of dispenser) for such quick purposes... begins to set in mere seconds, but you gotta be prepared & accurate in your application! I use the tip of a toothpick for tiny bits.

By the way, if you haven't read Adam Savage's book "Every Tool's a Hammer" you should... his approach to workshop design is so eye-opening, and he's even got a chapter on glue, getting pretty 'meta'... he likens superglue to using the superhighway - once you're on it, you're stuck if it all goes south!
