Bovington Tank Museum in 2013

Post by VVhitesnake »

Hi there everyone πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘‹!

I'm sure the guys especially from the UK must have been here at least once in their life if you are into Tanks and military vehicles! It was my little dream come true back in 2013 when me and my friend did a roadtrip to Bovington's Tank Museum! I remember I took a bus from Aberdeen Scotland to go to Manchester where my friend picked me up and we drove down to Bovington the next day :D! Was a good experience to get to see the big steel beast from up close and personal! I have not been back there ever since, perhaps something I will relive in the future 😎! Dropping a few of my fave photos here if you guys are interested! Ah... good ol' times πŸ₯Ή!

VVhitesnake, thanks for the pix! Were you there on a TankFest day? I see that Tiger 131 is outdoors, yet you are able to go up next to it... can you interact with it on a rday when it runs for the crowd? Will need to decide what time of year to plan a trip

I remember when I first visited I was surprised how 2 German Medium Tanks could be so different in overall external size,
I rated the Panzer 4 and the M4 Sherman as what I expected a Medium Tank to look BUT the Panzer 5 Panther was much closer to the size of a Heavy Tank.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
