I will be dismantling it sooner than later to see what makes it tick. Maybe swap a board and paint her up for a fun diversion. As she is, Zimmerit will be a must eventually.

Mine was received the same way back in October, with some minor bits fallen off & tow cable ends that needed to be glued down, etc.

Chef, those spare track link holder tops & bottoms are supposed to be out of alignment with each other... see this close-up of mine:



You see how the lower holders use pins to hold the link in place, while the upper one just clamps down onto it, like they really were.

I was just futzing with them, I see now how they work now thank you. I'll likely still bore out the tiny holes and CA glue them in place.

I can't leave well enough alone. I already cracked the hull. Not as scary inside as I expected-







The mounting screws for the wheels look a bit of a weak point though-

Soo since all the interested parties are somewhere here on this post already I figured I'd share my findings.

First-



The turret is mounted centrally giving it proper rotation.



The side of the turret ring that rests on the hull has steel ball bearings embedded in it. Also a bit too much lubricant as the balls roll very freely.


Something interesting here. See the 2 micro switches? Well the turret rotation ring has a steel screw in it. When the turret rotates and the screw hits the switch it stops the rotation. Interesting...









Pretty simple setup. And would be quite a nice swap to a Taigen lower...
