USPS Carol Stream Illinois
The place all packages go to die. As bad as ordering from Germany is timewise once the tracking says my package goes into this black hole I know I'm looking at least a month to be delivered. Shame because the US vendors ship fast. Yet BNA Models in Australia can get a package to Toronto in a week or less for less cost. I'm sure there are other USPS black holes

I love buying from BNA Models as you say they don't sit about, they have some amazing stuff in stock at great prices and they keep you up to date with the progress of your order.
I think I am about to upset someone

When I'm shipping to the US from Canada using Canada Post and USPS, Jamaica, New York is the terminal of slow. Not more than a week usually, but then just a day or two after to reach the PNW.

I feel your pain
it's been over a month since I ordered some oo gauge decals from the US so basically an envelope and USPS has passed it through every facility I think they possibly could along with it spending 6 days bouncing around their Chicago depot ( and still not received anything )
On the other hand I ordered some figures from BNA models and received them in just over a week to the UK.

USPS Is terrible. I found a book on ebay situated in Washington State. I bought it and had it posted to my home in North Florida. That was on the 25th of November. The Vendor quickly posted the book USPS. I tracked the parcel as it made its way across the USA. It went through Jacksonville processing centre just 25 miles from my home on the 29th of November then disappeared.
After many days of checking it finally reappeared on the 11th of December. IN ST THOMAS IN THE VIRGIN ISLANDS.
There have been no updates since then, I can only assume my book wanted to spend Christmas on a Caribbean beach.........

Yea that is crazy. I ordered an eBay item out of Dallas. So rather than heading north and eastward it went to Henderson NV and then did a tour of 3 Las Vegas locations before moving on to the LA area where it spent a week going to 4 locations including one twice 2 days in between. It then went to Oakland and I assume was trucked across the border in BC where it spent another couple of days clearing customs. Canada Post did manage to get it to me in 3 days from Vancouver to Toronto. But what logic is involved in routing a parcel in the wrong direction?Dogberry wrote: ↑Sat Dec 20, 2025 1:55 pm USPS Is terrible. I found a book on ebay situated in Washington State.
