Herr Dr. Prof.!, Alan!
Thanks for looking in. Specific Tank at a Specific Time in History. I could have weathered it to show the effects of having it's turret blown off by British Mortars but that is just not me, gentlemen. I will do a Pre and Post weathering Pic once I do the Show Off Thread so the differences can be seen. ( I have a lot more photos of this tank that have not made it into the Thread yet. ;0)
regards,
Painless

Looks good. I don't mind factory fresh tanks. I prefer my tanks to be weathered in the field (as I'm too lazy to spend the time doing it on the bench). :)

Good Evening,
Thanks for checking out this very old Heng Long King Tiger. It has been at the back of my mind for years. It started out as Stock HL and I've taken it all apart, Primed, Painted, added more metal to the running gear and modified the electrics by adding a Convoy light and repairing that original style Smoker,(twice). I'm really pleased to have finally completed this part of a dual Build. Due to some nagging health issues, it took over a year to complete. ( Did not help that Tongde and Cool Bank showed up with excellent new tanks but I got there ;0) I'm like you in that I will weather if the tank is a specific one. Part of a group that I would know what to look for in terms of damage and weathering. Otherwise, they all are runners and get weathered naturally by being run outdoors. I like them better that way myself. Depot Fresh!
regards and have fun!

Alan!
Thanks for checking in again and thanks for sticking with this Build! If I do it right, the paint will be the star of the show for the next King Tiger, a 1944 Henschel turreted model. The electronics already are better. It will be fun! Have a great night, Sir!
regards,
Painless

I too follow a lot of builds, and very much appreciate the work and skills that goes into their building, even though the subject may not particularly interest me. Mr P has turned out another fantastic build, and what a contrast to Mr Bix’s offerings, all shiny and new.

Which they all were once.
Isn't it great how different modelers in here have differing 'signatures' that they demonstrate over time.
I'm a grub, Mr Wolf is not, & so on.
I like the different takes on similar subjects.
