Good Afternoon!
Worked on mating the Upper to the Lower using the rare earth magnets I had located, last night. A lot of careful measurements and trimming back the screw mount pillars on the Upper were done. I used a hand held Dremel for the cutting. Cleanup was files and sandpaper. Loc-Tite Extreme was used to glue on the Lower magnets at 8 positions. The magnets for the Upper were just dropped onto Lower ones to use for final measurement and any shimming needed today. Verifying the adhesive was completely set, I shimmed the four central mounts and then ended up using the Dremel Torch to heat and straighten the back of the Upper to sit securely in the molded plastic mounts on the Lower. I finished up today by trimming out the rotation ring and touching up the paint. Setting everything aside to dry, I left it alone. Once I can put it together and test, I will do the Pin Wash and Flats.
