Hi all ive been searching long for avaliable gun stabilizer options and thanks to mrtankalotrctankschannel (YouTube) he happened to mention pairing an Elmod board with the CS TK-SWB stabilizer unit.
Here is a document I found online explaining the wiring. And below is a link to the website where I found it.
I hope this helps someone out there scratching their head wanting to build a more modern tank
I talked about this in another post, but I believe the TK-SWB is universal, in that if you have PWM output from your MFU or RX this unit will work in your tank.
The TK7.1 has PWM for elevation, but not rotation, so you could still get gun barrel stabilization, but not turret stabilization. I’m guessing that an ESC for turret rotation will not work, but you never know.
However if you have a ElMod, OpenPanzer, TK16/26, or even a Taigen V3 (with some finagling) you could make both elevation and rotation stabilization work.
Although I don’t have direct experience with them, I imagine this will also work for IBU, Clark, Beier, and even ArmorTek (if you’re handy).
I would love it to work with Clark TK50 as I like the sounds, I would have no idea where to start I was hoping it would be as simple power plus two plus servo in and out but its not so simple it would seem
What does Clark output for elevation and traverse? Are they both motors or is elevation a servo and traverse a motor?
Either way if you are using a PWM RX you could bypass the Clark Board and hook the TK SWB up directly to the RX, but you would lose sound for whatever function you plugged in to the RX and not the Clark Board.
OR you might be able to trick the Clark Board and run a servo Y so that your RX sends signals to the TK-SWB and the Clark Board simultaneously. That way you would probably still get the sound from the Clark Board even though it isn’t actually moving the barrel/turret and the RX will also send signals to the TK-SWB which will control the barrel/turret

This of with the TK16, but it shows the layout and how everything works

If you think about it, its more realistic not to hear the Turret rotation and gun elevation sound as that is only reallu heard up very close or inside the real thing, so I would be alright with that
