The files Tom has did include the split hatch, but it is modeled closed. I found an opening split hatch on Cults, but since it was someone else's tank I went ahead and printed it. I think I would use this one since it also opens and seems to be more correct:

Ah didn't see that! Silly me. Did you find the barrel is too short?

I'm going for the mato metal one as it was £7 from AliExpress and should should resist my clumsy handling a bit better

Ohhhh here we go. This is exactly what I'd want for this tank. You're gonna do such a nice job that I'm gonna want to take it off your hands  This would be a perfect candidate for the black basing I just adopted.

You're too kind!

I've always thought black basing would work well on 1/16.

This was the last one I did so aiming for something similar!Image

I printed the barrel from the kit for the person in my club. I guess I really didn't pay attention to the length as it wasn't my tank. I guess if it was mine I would've done a little more research... :D

The super p gets it's super! The very long barrel from dklm arrived today.

I said it once and I will inevitably say it again but tamiya really got it right with the Pershing. Unlike later models (looking at you is-2) the front of the turret bolts in, which means it's really easy to access the recoil etc.

Things are starting to come together now. Brad's sorting me some turnbuckles, which will leave me with the fun business of the fine details! Hopefully the split hatch will be here tomorrow ImageImageImageImage

After seeing that barrel, yeah I think the one in the files is too short.

Hey folks,

A littleore progress, split hatch arrived, fitted with some help from my trusty circle cutter. Even got it to spin!

Some shots of the other super p residing with me. Built by Rob (aka Wibblywobbly), I'm trying to get her up to snuff again. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
