Thank for your help in advance.
Many thanks to all.

Is this your pic?
if so looks like you have taken off the white and blue wires that went to the switch in the turret.
The green and yellow wires are earths for your recoil motor. so where mine has a black with yellow wire yours has green with yellow.
Spoiler: show

Ah yes that's mine,
Basically I started by taking off the switch cable as per the post. Then stopped as I noted mine didn't look the same as my wires are different colours. Stopped as I didn't want to make mistakes.

Thanks for posting, a couple of questions as I am now stuck!!!john1970 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 10:14 pm I'm editing as a i go along

remove the white and the blue wire that goes to the switch on the taigen turret take the wires from the 3 pin plug pop the pins out and put the 2 wire from the elevation motor (on the right) into a 2 pin plug this plugs into cn4 black on the left red on the right.
For the recoil motor (on the left) you will need to add another red wire and put those 2 wire into anther 2 pin plug and plugs into cn10 the black wire will be at the bottom towards the middle of the board and the red wire will be at the top. the yellow wire with the black wire is another earth so make sure you get the connections the right way round when plugging into the board.
The large red or black wire that connects to the microswitch with the yellow wire will need to connect to the battery negative/black wire not the on/off switch as the on/off switch is 2 live wires.
I have a Taigen Panther upper body and using a HL 7.0 MFU
The elevation works perfect, so thats out of the way
The first problem is the barrel recoil. The recoil works but as soon as i take my finger off of the trigger the recoil unit just stops in whatever position
The second problem... Used a jumper to get the sound, with the jumpier in the sound is fine but the recoil doesn't work. Tried using the microswitch as its in the open position until the recoil is activated , sound worked but when the barrel recoiled the barrel stopped.
Third problem which at the moment I haven't even attempted is the barrel flash, but i want to solve 1 & 2 unless problem 3 comes by solving 1 & 2
Thanks in anticipation

There are 2 wires on the earth terminal of the recoil motor sounds like you haven't connected the 2nd wire.
The 2nd wire should be yellow is on my recoil units follow that round to the side of the unit it should be connected to a microswitch on the other side of the microswitch is another wire sometimes red sometimes black that should be connected to your battery earth.
BUT BEFORE CONNECTING THE 2ND WIRE TO THE BATTERY MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CONNECTIONS THE RIGHT WAY AROUND IN CN10
You won't need to hold the buttons down on the remote when the 2nd earth is connected

Thank John.
Double checked the wiring and i wasn't getting the earth connection to the battery, Redid the joint and its (almost) ok. Pressing the fire, i get recoil and sound now, but the next time i press it the barrel moves a tiny bit only, still gets sound , press the next time and it works, so alternate fires i get recoil!!! Microswitch setting issue?
Any clue on the Xenon flash unit ? I really do not know where to start in this hot potato!!
Many thanks for your help, could not have done it without you, top man

Re: Fitting Taigen tiger 1 turret to Heng Long Tiger 1
Been doing a similar project, rewiring an old Taigen Turret (IR, Recoil, Xenon Flash) to function with a Heng Long 7.0 board.
Elevation all ok, recoil however I'm having some issues. Both motors work on Channel 4 for testing, however neither work on Channel 10 (BB launch system). Is there some significant difference on the 7.0 board to get recoil working?
