Looks great Mr. Chef. While I love Kursk soil for dusting things up I never knew about Tamiya XF-52. I'll have to give it a try

The other thing about XF-52 is..............it also reminds you that the Earth is, well,........ Flat :shifty: :shh:
And it does do a great job of dust effect. I mix it with buff too.

Thank you very much.

Lemme scramble yerr noggin.

The bright RAL8000 I started with the base coat was-
4x XF4 Yellow
2x XF52 Flat Earth
1x XF60 Dark Yellow

Ahhh on this side of the earth we call that a Dad joke Mr. B :haha: :haha: :haha:

But now that you got me addicted to this new fangled air tool it's just so darned useful. I find I buy multiples of colors I never thought I'd use up in a million years.

The Flat Earth was the perfect tone to get the dark mud lighter to blend with the enamels and pigments.

And on a different note Mr. B. have you heard of these Flory's washes before? I have but never used them-

And NOW they have these extra thick Weathering washes. I Am intrigued-

Well as its advice from Tamiya, it carries weight !! If they say Flat Earth, then they must know stuff :problem:

The problem that I and most of the modeling community has with XF-60 is that its too dark, and too green.
Even the -88 2 is still dark when compared to the Mig and Vallejo versions but the best thing is, it sprays perfectly every time, and cleans up so well.
Can be blended & maintain its performance, and is consistent.

This PzIII is a great example of what can be done with basic ingredients and determination.
It would look great supporting the Ferdinand, just saying.......................
