About time....

Post by Moogie »

To introduce myself.
My name is Noel and i live in Northern Ireland. Had the normal Airfix models when young then just over 35 years ago got my first RC car, nitro Kyosho Sandmaster. After that there was boats, airplanes, helicopters, 1/8th scale buggies, 10th touring cars, Tamiya trucks and everything in between.
About 25 years ago i opened my own model shop which was an experience and eventually ruined my love for the hobby. 10 years on i got back into rc crawling and scratch building, mainly with pasticard now 3d printing.
4 years ago i taught myself CAD using Fusion and that really opened up my making possibility's and have been flat out making ever since.
I not only make models, ill have a go at anything. Recently made myself a metal lathe with a 3 foot bed and a Vale Special inspired cyclekart and a BBQ/smoker, the list goes on.
Thats about me up to date, although this is my first foray into rc tanks and so far im finding it very enjoyable.
Noel.

Yes, Noel, I understand how turning a hobby into a business can undermine the fun. I am just four monthly articles away from 25 years of researching a writing reviews of farm toys and models. It has been a good run with lots of fun and learning, but now, onward and upward---and back to pushing them on the carpet: "vroom, vroom, vroom." :haha:

I hope I can still get up off the floor at this age.
