Driving in Snow?

I'm wanting to try to upgrade my tank so it can drive around in deep snow, but I don't know how. does anyone have any tips or tricks on doing this?

Get the tank cold before you put it in the snow. Less snow will cling to it.
Avoid wet, gloppy snow and depths that cause the tank to drag its hull and bog down. That strain can burn out a board.
Tanks with lower weight, wider tracks, and high ground clearance are best. Drive with care and watch the load you're putting on the board and motors.
Finally, if your tank has gotten cold, pop it in a garbage bag, get the air out and then bring it inside. Less condensation on the tank that way.

Indeed, I also did read somewhere, an all plastic tank will perform better in snow compared to a heavy, full metal one!

No issues driving them in the snow. But the good suggestion from another Northern brother of leaving them outside to cool off before running in the white Is a valuable nugget of wisdom.

The Tiger I is plastic running gear. The King is metal, Plastic tends to allow the tank to float better on deeper snow.





The KV1 is all plastic. The T34/85 is metal.
