Hi Alan,

You could use an app called Tapatalk, it is a forum based platform but I just use it to post pictures here.
The basic version of the app is free but has limitations I pay 77p a month which allows you to post multiple pics at the same time, hope this helps

Cheers, Lee.

On my phone, I open the picture, select editing and get an option to resize the picture within a drop down.

Only problem with that is the picture gets changed to the new size. However, one should be able to revert to original size after posting on the forum. Alternatively, copy the original to resize into a separate "forum" folder in your phones gallery.

Back to basics--what is the exact purpose of an image hosting service? Just image resizing? I haven't used anything since the photobucket ransom plan, and that was back when putting an image on a forum meant you were part of some kind of shoobeedoowaaw elite tech nerd.

Not sure what exactly they get you? Plus the "images in the public folder" may be used and sold by imgur makes me a bit concerned.

Some forums limit the amount of storage space for pictures so unlike here you cant upload new pictures if youve reached your quota

Do you really need Imgur? When I first got on here I thought I needed an image host but as Coleman Collector said upthread and I believe it was him who told me I only needed to send images from my phone to my photos on my desktop if I need to resize them to get under the 3mb limit. Everything under 3mb just gets posted from the phone using the attachment tab

I don't have a desktop. I have a Chrome tablet that I use to browse sometimes but all of my pics are on my phone and I do most of my browsing on my phone. For me it's convenience. Imgur is simple and convenient.

If I use Imgur links, I can cross post my builds on all the forums I belong to by simply by selecting the entire dialog, doing a Ctrl C, and then Ctrl V to the other forum. Then I don't have to do multiple uploads using each site's attachment management system. I like to share my builds, but not at the expense of taking away from my building time. I would rather spend my time building than posting.

Despite my dislike of Tigers. I do enjoy following builds, of all types, and I am amazed at a lot of the skilled work that is carried out. I am rather peed off about Imgur. I too only use a tablet, which means I am now not able to follow some builds. Even those about Tigers. I am especially disappointed at not being able to follow ECAM’s Dragon Wagon build.
