The Life and Times of a Tiger 1
Re: The Life and Times of a Tiger 1
A little further progress: Preshading and a light coat of Tamiya Dark Yellow 2 before camouflage. - I still am undecided on what scheme to try this time.

Re: The Life and Times of a Tiger 1
That preshading in the first picture would pass as a worn winter white wash!
Stellar work, I've tried that a few times but am too heavy handed with the top coat. End up doing "post" shading...

Nice work! Those three pictures above really show the power of preshading and a careful topcoat.
Gonna be a beaut!

Further progress over XF-88 went Airbrushed lines of XF90 and XF 89.
Next up was a light oil wash all over of a black and brown, followed by a black pin wash.
With the start of some chipping and weathering (splatters of Dunkelgelb 2 with a dark grey centre)

Re: The Life and Times of a Tiger 1
Tiger was progressing well, new 7.0 wiring was going OK, with all function returning, although needing to look at recoil, and barrel flash.
However disaster:
The tank powers on, but will not bind to the transmitter. The headlights just flash with long, slow pulses (the "no connection" signal). It will not make the engine start sound and does not respond to any controls.
The tank was working perfectly with a 9.9V LiFe battery.
I unplugged it and put in a brand new, fully charged 7.4V (2S) LiPo battery.
The problem started immediately after this swap and it has not worked since.
Troubleshooting Steps So Far:
Tank Battery: Confirmed the new 7.4V 2S LiPo is fully charged.
Transmitter Batteries: Confirmed the TX has fresh batteries.
Binding: I've tried the standard re-binding procedure (Turn on TX, hold 'start' button, turn on tank) multiple times with no success.
Swapped TX: I used a known-good, working transmitter from my other Heng Long Sherman. This second transmitter also fails to bind to the problem tank.
Any ideas?
