MrChef has a good point: a clear coat might reduce the effect of the "dirt." That's a tough one, for I always use a clear coat last, even though my AFVs don't see the outdoors much, if at all.

Now the thing is, I tried a different approach to weathering. I used real dirt from the garden as a weathering powder, and it rubs off quite easily. Hopefully a clear flat coat, sprayed thinly will fix it in place, until I get a chance to run it in some typical Scottish weather.

Rain or not, Scots, it's a beautiful place. Hmm... Ian, maybe you should just let the rain add the finishing touch and then fix it in place with a flat coat.

Currently the rain is going up, as well as horizontal and vertical, it’s hitting the ground that hard.
That’s what I was thinking about a flat coat. Should seal it without affecting it too much.

As an American Friend who is regularly exposed to the blistering sun, deep snow and raging winds of my home location up in the Rockies, I encourage you to get out and run/video your Tanks! Properly applied paint and weathering should not be overly adversely affected by some precipitation.

If the spotlight on the gun mantlet is an example of your scratchbuilding then you are being far too modest. Looks like a little scale kit from a production supplier. Chains, clips, boxes, clasps and guards everywhere--what a stunner in white! Kelvinator is far too pedestrian for it; more like a Fisher & Paykel!

It will be interesting what the matte sealer coat does to the soil weathering. When I've cleared dust weathering with chalks, it always just darkens and disappears. On your white tank I suspect it will do fine, but more like damp mud grime rather than dusty.

Very cool build in its UN colours! Squeak making sure the bogies were well lubed has to be a true building advantage.
