A Stuart looks a lot slicker without skirts & sticky-outy bits I reckon.

Eons ago there was one of these (or an M3) in a park in Garden City Ks. The hatches were not welded closed. It is still the only Tank I have ever been in. These days I doubt I could fit through any tank's hatches. About 15 years ago I stopped by that park and the tank was long gone.

More than 50 years ago, Mike (Sassgrunt) put me in the rear cab (M250) of an "Atomic Annie" that was parked about a half mile from our house on Bolling AFB near Washington DC. I'll guess that is the one that ended up in the Aberdeen collection.

I've loved the Sherman and Stuarts as long as I can remember, but the skirts and the "sticky-outy bits" I can live without!

Looking good, Eric. I prefer the Stuart skirtless, otherwise it looks like a brick IMHO.

Are you going to correct the suspension arms position? They look odd on the coolbank and should be more "compressed) but I'm not sure if it would lead to other problem like the chassis being too low?

I saw your earlier reply in another Stuart thread, and digging through the pictures I was/am unsure of the inverted arms you were refering to!?! If I can figure it out I would attempt to fix it. That CD series I mentioned earlier has some terrific close ups of the bogies, but compared to the Coolbank kit it all looks pretty good to me.

They are not inverted but the suspensions don't seem to be compressed enough, maybe shorten the springs would do the trick.

I see what you are talking about now! I will probably start with weight like E-brute mentioned and I'd like to take some spring out of the rear idler (soft front/stiff rear).
