what is the piece on the starboard side of the turret w/ the 3 red verticals? antenna???

Good Evening,
That piece that you are referring to is a Manual Aiming Sight for the Periscope located on the Turret Roof. Gunners or Commanders Sight I do not know, I am not familiar with British Armor yet. ( So correct me if I am wrong )
