Mr Surfacer
A little bit of advise please fellow tankers. Have a old pot of Mr Surfacer which seems to have thickened up more than it needs to be .What can I use to thin it with and also what can I clean the brush with. I know the brush should be a old one anyway as how I create a cast effect with Mr Surfacer will probably destroy it anyway but it will take several goes to get the effect I want.

Re: Mr Surfacer
Thin it with super Tamiya thin cement as you use it.
I have also use Laquer thinner successfully but yours may be too far gone .

Re: Mr Surfacer
Thanks mate. Do you think air brush cleaner will work for the brush.

Re: Mr Surfacer
I’ve not tried it sorry.
All I do is let the brush dry after scraping the excess off then combing it with a stainless wire brush to restore it a bit. Eventually it gets chucked

Re: Mr Surfacer
I've used acetone to get it off of brushes, but I don't use good brushes when applying it.

This is cellulosic stuff (like cellulosic putty, primer etc), you can use any cellulosic thinner, lacquer thinner or acetone as mentioned earlier.
