Help identify this Heng Long M26 - needs transmitter

Post by R5gtt »

Hello, sorry if this is the wrong section.

I'm trying to identify which transmitter I should be using for this tank.

Underneath there is a ABC switch but also there is a socket on the receiver board for a crystal.

Does this mean I can use any 4 channel remote or does it need to be a specific heng long transmitter. If it does need to be specific then which version is it because I'm struggling to figure it out. Also are there any alternatives like swapping boards etc if I'm unable to find an original tx?

I'm trying to work out if it's even worth doing however the tank appears to have metal gearboxes, metal tracks, sound, and a smoker so makes me think it is more of a fully loaded model?

When powering on the rear lights just keep blinking whilst it waits for a transmitter.

Thanks in advance

G'day Mr gtt

I encourage you to take a moment to go into the introduction section & announce yourself here, share a little of what hemisphere you are based out of, and a bit about your interest in the hobby or the subject of Tanks.

Hi Tiger76.We all like to help but I suggest you hold any response if a moderator has already asked a question of a member before they have received an answer. The moderators are ultimately there to uphold the forums rules and protect us. Funny, the author of that thread never did come back to update us. Although they did post an introduction.

Your explanation is the very reason why I have become reluctant to advise on the Challenger. We have had a few forum members (admittedly, giving an introduction) who have asked for help, and received it in the form of parts, or instructions, at my expense, and have never been seen, or heard of since. John Glover is different. I am having a metaphysical pint with him now.

If I have come across unhelpful or rude to some of the new members, who have Challengers (Neil64). I apologise.
