I have one I've been painting. Very detailed out of the box. Can't really comment about the electronics as I will be converting it over to HL 7.1 as the elevation, recoil, and rotation are servo driven. The rotation is very nice as it's got ball bearings in it. I has a built in track tensioner. I haven't run the tank much so I can't comment yet on it's reliability. Paint is MRP "BSC No.61 Light Stone" and "SCC No. 14 Blue-Black."

I'll only mention one minor drawback: the wheels can come loose while driving ;) I recommend Loctite.

Seem robust, some very nice features like battery access. Not quite as easy to turn as the M5, possibly the track drag but still work fine. Electrics & turret set up look to be the same as the M5, but that's based on pictures as I've not opened mine up yet.

Downsides. The track guards are on or off, so you'd need to scratch build for non-desert variants. There are visible screws holding the suspension covers on but these are hidden by the guards that come with it.
Electrics are fine, but binding is a little messy as instructions are not great.

Can anyone recommend book(s) on the Crusader? I like to do my homework, even if I am a mediocre modeler. Looking at the model and comparing to a book is 3/4 the fun for a bookish sort like me. Web sights are O.K., too.

Here's three tasty Crusader books HDP.

I've downloaded a bunch of titles, and as I said quite awhile ago, no problems. Odd how almost all of my distant nieces and nephews have been jailed in Mexico and are emailing me for bail money...sent as prepaid Amazon gift cards...

Thank you for the Crusader links! Last Tuesday, according to text messages, one of the Make Modeling Mediocre Again fellows bought one iPHone. And I saw that I bought three iPhones through PayPal. I know second hand of one person who actually paid the thing, using---incredible---crypto currency! Yeesh!
