Hi everyone

Post by AlanWhite »

Hi
I have been into rc models for quite a few years now
Started with scale ships then onto cars , aircraft and helicopters as well as tanks
My 1st tank was a basic Heng Long Tiger 1 about 15 or so years ago with 27mhz and crystals which got upgraded from plastic tracks , sprockets and idlers to metal
I still have this but its kind of knackered so will keep as spares
The current line up is a Tiagen upgraded Panther G ,Taigen T34/85 , Heng Long King Tiger and an early Heng Long Tiger 1
some pics of them

cant seem to find a pic of the T34 tho at moment
Anyway thats me
and hope i can contribute to the forum
Alan
Cheers

Welcome AlanWhite: I see four Kitties! one appears to be in somewhat faded Dunkelgrau. Like you, many of my WWII tanks are Taigen/Torro, but the brand seems to be of fading presence. (Even Torro in Germany has picked up the HengLong line and TongDe is coming on strong.) I prefer the sound system Taigen/Torro has, but the brand is behind the others for slow speed and turning control. I recently upgraded just a bit my Torro Panther G in the three-color camouflage, and it is in need of markings, but Peddinghaus seems to be the only possibility for decals. I do prefer stencils, but just now my favorite source is unavailable.

I have a few t34s all running torro hulls and out of all of the tanks I have I find that the t34 on the torro tub is a very good runner. Min is 10 years old now and the only thing I have ever repaired on it was the mantlet on the henglong turret where it went brittle. I also have the full torro version. Never needed to do anything to it as well as 2 su assault guns on torro hulls. Again never needed to fix anything
It’s your tank it’s what you make it

Taigen tanks are still sold. Check Amazon and eBay.

Picture for picture.
