Atak availability

Post by tankme »

Is Atak still only selling through their own website or have they returned to the old model selling to vendors? I recently acquired the Tamiya Jagdpanzer IV/70(V) Lang kit for a good price. I can't find the Atak kit for it in stock on their site or anywhere else for that matter. I did sign up with the "notify me when it's back in stock" at their site. I just don't know if or when they will restock it at this point. I know I can do my own zim, but I was looking to have this be a quick build. I suppose I can Email them and ask if they are planning on restocking it. If anyone has a kit laying around, I'd be interested in it. Doing my own zim will just add extra effort that I wanted to avoid. I know there are also some zim tools that can be 3D printed. If I have to do my own zim I will probably go down that route.

I know...first world problems... :P

You could ask Dave and Julie at Forgebear when they expect a restock. They would be able to give you a better idea as to future availability. They are the only company I have seen of recent times that have had Atak 1/16 zimmert kits available outside of buying a kit from Atak direct.

I ordered the one from Passion132 so I should be good to go. Expensive, but worth my sanity.

I'm glad I could help. Atak makes great products, but their website should have been modernized long ago.

I appreciate the link. It's sometimes tough to search for things from the US as Google isn't great at finding stuff on sites that aren't English or based in the US. Looks like they already shipped it so I should have it by the time I start the kit.
