Just added some wash detailing to my sons King Tiger 323.
I just need to add a commander and driver.

Re: HL King Tiger 323
Nice!
You could ad some green paint onto the lower turret parts which are still in dark yellow now.
Nato green will be perfect.
To match a brownish color, add some black to a dark brown color until it suits the brown on the Tiger.
You also could add matching colors to the hooks from the spare tracks and the brackets for the equipment alongside the upper hull.
I also added a wash AK300 enamel onto the entire tank. Because it is an enamel wash you can thin it with white spirit when you added too much of it.
You can even thin it after a few days, it will work.
That‘s how I did it.
For figures check Aliexpress, plenty of nice commanders on there!
And if you want to add a driver, you need to open the hatches in front of the turret.

The commander in pic # 1 is from Torro, all the other figures are from Ali.

Re: HL King Tiger 323
That is a very nice set for very little money!
Good choice.
You have to shorten the loader (he’s not the radio operator, that one should sit in the right side hatch in front of the turret), so his left arm can rest on the turret roof.
You could use him as radio operator, but you have to open that hatch first…..
Other very easy improvements could be, taking off the closed plastic grips on all the hatches. Bent small metal wires in the shape of those grips, drill a couple of holes and glue the metal grips into them.
Makes quite a difference, and easy to make!
The hatch which is in the figure set too, has that wheel to open/close it.
The Kingtiger model has a very odd, closed wheel on that hatch, so I swapped the HL one for the one from the kit.
Looks much more realistic now.
The headset hanging on the hatch, I made out of those Ikea things which are used to close holes in cabinets or so.
Just cut them in half, stick some metal wire into them and the headband is made of a small brass strip.
Easy peasy and looks good too.
