Track Slippage on grass

So I drove my abrams on grass that isn't super tall and the tank can't turn in place, the track turning starts to slip. I don't suppose there is a way to fix that issue?

I know from farm tractors, to some extent, slippage is desirable, as absolute traction is rough on transmissions. Much will depend on the weight of the model. If the running gear and tracks of your Abrams are mostly of plastic construction, the slippage will likely be great. The heavier metal transmission, sprockets, idler, and road wheels will add weight.

As to realistic effect, does your Abrams turn effectively if on a roll (i.e. not "in place," what the manufacturers like to call "super spin")? I don't know of the real Abrams is capable of such "in place" turning (someone here on RCTW will know); most WWII tanks could not do so.

So the shaft that connects to the sprocket is what I'm referring to as an "out shaft". If your Abrams is using the non-steel gears or the plastic gearbox, you may have had the gear on the out shaft slipping as it's just press fit on the cheaper gearboxes.
