Post WW1 Bussing merged with Faun and ran as Faun Bussing in the 70s they were taken over by MAN,
I drove a Faun 6 wheel 28 tonne aircraft refueller for a while at RAF Wildenrath,
Straight 8 with a 13 speed constant mesh gearbox on 6 super single wheels and tyres,
Air everything steering, brakes , suspension,It maxed out at 80
kph although if you could get 50 kph out of it when running fully loaded at 28tonnes you were doing well but with 20 tonnes of 160 octane avgas 5 feet behind me I never did try rushing anywhere with it. :lolno:
Had a brake failure when running down to a squadron,
The brakes locked and I slid forward into the rim of the steering wheel. ,Thought I was dead, All my breath gone, Taken to the sick bay and had my ribs strapped up,
Fond memories :haha: :haha:
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Büssing never ever merged with Faun... :O
The history of Büssing:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%BCssing

In 1969, the Büssing AG plants in Osterholz-Scharmbeck were taken over by FAUN-Werke, and in 1973, municipal vehicle production was completely relocated there.
But there was no Faun-Büssing or Büssing-Faun - these companies were always independent of each other.

We must be using different sources, Mine says Faun merged with Bussing in 1921 and they were taken over by MAN in the 70s.

The only thing that is correct about your statement is that Büssing was taken over by MAN in 1971 and the Büssing brand name disappeared from the market as a result.
The Faun brand still exists today and is still independent.
The only relationship between Büssing and Faun is the takeover of the Osterholz Scharmbek production plant by Faun in 1969.
I have linked my source in the post, where is your (wrong) source?
