Re: RAY GUN!!
Also managed to secure a lovely recast of the well known Russian Sniper I believe is Roma Shanina due to the longer hair than Ludmilla Pavlechenko .
She went together well with minimal clean up.
I hope to do the memory of this brave child some respect once painted.

Re: RAY GUN!!
Had a first go at Mr Rob59's Oaktree camo method .
Its ok to follow as a method, but jeez the colours which are NOT the recommended set for this type of camo are not right.
Close enough, but not vibrant enough I reckon. And that changes the look & effect.
This joker is going into my PzIII Bergepanzer so hes going to be ok in that setting but I have more to do to get the pattern right.

Re: RAY GUN!!
With that guy now in place in the Bergepanzer III, I got on with a WH MG ' gunner.
He was not an easy figure to paint, well I suppose they are all like that.
He seems a good fit for my old F05 Tiger

Re: RAY GUN!!
Hello mr.B
About your soldier in the camo pattern trousers.
I do not think it is that bad at all, on the contrary.
No need to buy the AK paint set I recently used.
Befor I had these sets, I made those patterns with the colors I had available at that moment.
If I were you, I would not change a thing on it!
In real life they also looked worn, so yours comes pretty close!
Good job.
Besides that, on the PC screen it always looks "worse" compared to real life, right?
Put the fellow onto a tank and take a pic from e few feet away.
You'll see, he's doing just fine!
The grenadier on the engine deck looks very good too.
So I am afraid I have a competitor now in the figure painting skills
Rob.

Re: RAY GUN!!
I have no idea how you get the time for all your hobby accomplishments, Bix. I, too, think the figures' camouflaged uniforms are just fine. In fact, you are making me want to dig out a figure to paint.

Re: RAY GUN!!
Mr '59, you still have the standard set for the SS outfits so I need to practice a lot to get close to that.
My Bergepanzer crewman looks ok in the setting with the others, and at a distance !!

And what did I tell you?
There you go.
Looks damn good, right?
Now keep on practicing and make a lot of dots!
Have a nice weekend and I am looking foreward to your next creation.
