Exhaust Smoke

Post by IanHill »

So a newbie in need of help! i have just got my first RC Tank. Its a HengLong 1/16 scale. It has smoking exhausts which is cool. But sadly the mix of English/Chinease instructions is hard to decifer?
I know where to add it but when and how much?

many thanks

You only add a couple of drops. If you flood the smoker and make it too wet, it won't smoke. Add fluid when it stops smoking.

And inevitably your smoker will fail---They all do so best shop around now for an after market smoker unless you are like a number of us who once it breaks we take it out and use the space for something else.
It is all very well smoke coming out of the smokestack BUT more unrealistic looking exhaust pipe smoke I have yet to see,
It does not pump out as if it was emanating from a large capacity Petrol or diesel engine it is more like the smoke from some weedy youths woodbine.
Just a thought.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

I use GI smokers. I’ve had luck with them and a programmable tank board lets you adjust the smoke output with many parameter variables for example low smoke output at idle and heavier smoke during acceleration and spin turns etc.

The manual lists 2 ml of liquid!
When it runs out, you can buy glycerin at the pharmacy... this is the same "secret ingredient liquid"
