Jimster ,I suggest you do a little bit of research[German turret and hatch interior colors ] before you paint your hatches red oxide .Just a thought.

Re: Tiger I's
I just did some searching and the color matched the tank color. So I leave mine grey. Seems like I knew that but I second guessed my old research. It’s been a few years and I’m getting forgetful. Thanks for the advice!

Re: Tiger I's
Jimster. If you google [Tiger 131 inside] just look at the images that come up. Elfenbein or we might call it Ivory in the top half of the inside of the turret and the hatches are its exterior camo color. I was going to paint my hatches for Tiger 121 in Elfenbein but when I studied the Russian black and white photos of it capture when it is still sitting on the battle field before they hauled it away there is something that stands out for me. The commanders hatch is open and even though snow has been falling, the three hatch handles are a dark color not Elfenbein/Ivory. I am not trying to upset anyone but I think you what you have already is correct .

As my Ini Tiger 1 is far from being done, I am not sure which color the inside of my hatches wil get.
One thing I do know, the hatches/lids from the turretbins will stay in oxide red.
Some weathering and than they‘ll be good.
