Herr Doc! Who are you and where am I ?? *Laughs*
Good Morning,
Better Days!
regards,
Painless

P.S. Have you tried RCTankCommand.com ? Used to be under the Aegis of Bob Held here in the States. I believe the Owner is based out of Sevastapol (I want to say) I've emailed back and forth with the fellow. Last one not too many years ago about our respective Pooches and the State of the Hobby.

You are confusing your Bob's - Bob Hearn ran ETOArmor out of Savastapol, Bob Held was his US warehouse for a while. Bob Hearn has since passed, and I haven't heard from Bob Held in quite a while either.

Good Afternoon Tiger6,
No Confusion here. I never communicated with Bob Held outside of acknowledging an order from the warehouse. Bob Hearn was my Friend in Sevastopol. We talked through Email about our Dogs, RC Tanking and a yearly Armor Parade that he worked on over there. I did not know that he had passed. I haven't emailed him in a long time. My apologies for confusing you with my lack of clarity in the response to Herr Doc. Try to have a nice rest of your day. Anyway, back to Tanks ;0)
regards,
Painless

His passing from cancer back in December 2022 was announced on RCU by one of his friends.

The RCTankCommand.com site is defunct. Last posts I read of Bob Held aka: thecommandernj weren't good. He did a lot for the hobby, but also became known for taking money and not completing projects. Bob hasn't been on this board since 2015 and hasn't been on RCU since 2016. I would say Bob Held is no longer alive or no longer participating in tanks anymore. I think Tom was still waiting for a Tamiya MFU from Bob in 2017.

Last post I saw at RCU was in 2017 from Tom and no one had heard from him when he posted about his wife's accident: https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-tan ... -held.html

Tiger6,
I didn't frequent RCU. Thank you for letting me know about Robert Hearn. I will miss talking to him via email. Everytime that I turn around nowadays, it seems that I have missed someone that I admired and enjoyed talking to, heading out. Thanks again to everyone who takes a minute to respond to my Threads. World is awful quiet as is so keep talking!
with every regard,
Painless

Cool little Stuart

Yes it was a shame about Robert Hearn. Great guy to talk by email with about stuff beyond my parts orders :(

PzMech,
Thanks! The Stuart is just a Tank I can run and have fun with. I kept the Detailing to a minimum for it on purpose. Mr. Hearn, I don't doubt that he is together with his Hounds of Renown on some RC Tankers version of Fiddlers Green! He was a good guy.
