I could do better.
So before I thought too hard on it, I removed all the stowage and accessories, reprimed and did a German Grey
base coat.
Here is what it looks like before. I'll post a picture of the results.

Looks fine to me but I know where you are coming from. I've repainted one of my Panthers 4 times. Every one has been an improvement even though I was scared to do it at first

I also repaint models, it gives me a chance to apply new techniques I’ve tried to perfect over time & hopefully improve the overall look of the model.
