Is the TK 7 the most up to date board on their 1:16 tanks?

It is indeed. Along with the TK7.1. Which gives more options, for instance servo control for gun recoil.

The TK7.0 will give you good low speed control (this is a tank, hence, low and slow), decent sound for a Tiger I, and Lithium Ion battery.

It also gives you the choice of S3 battery. (Ideal for modern tank. Fast and powerful) 🤣🤣🤣

Unless you are planning on using servos, there is no reason to move from a 7.0 to a 7.1. 7.1 adds servo ports. Most of the other functions are exactly the same as the 7.0.
