I'm investigating using the Tamiya sound system for an Armortek 1/6th scale Sherman and was proposing to use the MF-03 module, as this is for the GAA V8 engine used in both the Pershing and the Sherman M4A3.
Reading an on-line review, is says that the MF-03 provides engine sounds "overlaid with realistic track noises".
Is this correct ? And if so, how obvious are the track noises ?
The Armortek Sherman tracks are realistically squeaky enough not to need any help from the sound system and I'd rather have something which is just engine related than the whole works.
Adrian.

Re: Tamiya sound systems
the tamiya system is capable of having 12v go through it i think, however if you do put that much through it you will need a cooling fan
somebody please confirm me on this .. i wouldnt want to exploding a tamiya system on what ive said!
on the squeiky trackys, so some extent the tamiya system does provide them, but you can still get the great engine sound if you put in a couple of nice big speakers with good bass
cheers,
Matt
