Hello from North America!

Hi All,

Recently 3D printed a 1:10 King Tiger II from https://www.3dprintedtanks.com/english/ for my grandson. Not sure why a 6 year old has a favorite tank, but this one does, and it’s the King Tiger.

Printing/assembling it was easy; I’m still working on the electronics end of things though.

Admittedly, my sole purpose for joining this forum was to learn from/stand on the shoulders of, folks here on these forums who are much more knowledgeable than I am, on the subject of RC tanks.

I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.

Welcome to the forum. Some of us have experience in larger tanks. I've got some 1/6th scale projects with home grown or piece mail installs. Jib has been working on his 1/8th Abrams as of late. I have a 1/10th Jagdtiger I've been working on, but haven't touched it in quite some time. We even have some Armortek builders, but those electronics are definitely more tailored to their products and more custom.

Anyway, ask away and I'm sure someone will know at least something about it...

I just paid $50 in tariffs to convince Radiomaster to send me $130 worth of radio transmitter, receiver and a couple batteries.

I thought my 1:10 King Tiger was long, but there’s a lot of gun length…that 1:6 Stuart will be almost as long with no gun stickout!

If I’m not mistaken, a Stuart is what greets visitors to our local WWII museum:

Hello from southern Wisconsin. Your questions will likely get response from some wizard(s) here. Clearly you know what you are doing. I suspect you already checked over the "Larger Scale Military" section: viewforum.php?f=80. I read 'em all, even if I have concentrated on 1/16 as the scale I have long favored for other models.

Yes that is a Stuart, but it is an M3 Stuart. Painless is working on an M5 Stuart. Same basic lower hull with different upper hull and turret.

The Museum looks Solid! ( Solid = Fun ) Your King Tiger has the goods already!
Here is a Pic of How far I have gotten with the Stuart ( I dust it once a week now and have the Upper and Turret just waiting there for more work.
