That is a great project. Any true WW2 battlefield involving rhe Wehrmacht is amiss without the horse driven vehicles

Someday I will need to come with horsepower for my WCP Gulaschkanone. However, static will do. These look great!

Most people believe that the German army was fully mechanized. It’s not hard see when all the newsreels show are panzers rolling through the battlefield. Horses aren’t shown until the documentary reaches 1945 when the Germans are retreating using anything other than trucks. Guess it makes for more of a defeat drama.

The truth is 80% or so the army still relied on horses, making veterinarian officers a prized commodity. I collect German Veterinarian Officers tunics & memorabilia. Is it okay to post a few pics?

I got the horses off eBay. Just search “1/16 horse”. They don’t come with anything. I had to buy a “horse team with harness” too. That kit had two ugly carved wooden horses and the harnesses. I put aside the ugly horses and used the harnesses. I have second kit. I plan to construct the wooden wagon they used if I’m successful with the steel version.

Here is some of the work Ive done on the turret.

I opened up the slits around the turret. Made the hole for the gun.
I bought a metal mp40. I’m going to fix it so it is permanently in place.
I had to make a box like compartment for the rear lift pen. You can barely make it out. It had to be quite small because of the cannon mechanism.
The oval “thing”is for the loader. I didn’t want him falling down into the turret.
I’ll have a pic of the cannon later, but I’m adding the machine gun upgrade. It came with a white LED…I’ve replaced it with a red light.
I’m adding red lights to the interior of the turret.

I will snoop about on eBay and elsewhere to see what horses and might cost me. :O

It appears that you may be keeping the airsoft mechanism. Given the extent to which you are modifying this Tiger, the rather obvious level of your skills, and that HengLong 7.0 you have already installed, perhaps you would consider a recoiling, flashing, smoking barrel. Keep going!

Need to start a gofundme site. I’ll give it serious consideration.

In the meantime…you’ll have to use your imagination.

I added a rod through the tongue (the square piece of aluminum) that will help push the horses. I’ll add another rod at the rear once the wagon has been made and I know where the tongue lays in relation to the horse and wagon.

The skateboard trucks and wheel can’t be anttahced until 3D printer makes the fittings.
