YouToube censors videos with German RC tank models

Haven't heard of any tanks besides German tanks being removed and the tank battle which I'm sure had German tanks in it.

All participants of WW2 did things that were pretty brutal. It was war.

Which of course is just complete no clue political correctness. It had nothing to do with Nazis.The swastika I would understand. What's next? Bundeswehr vehicles being removed? Does this mean that anything right up to 2025 with the Japanese Hinomaru or all Japanese aircraft models will now be deleted too. Just crazy

The Balkenkreuz was unique to Nazi Germany (altho not banned in Germany), the current Germany national insignia (the Iron Cross) is narrow at the centre and flares out at the edges - If the AI is doing pattern recognition, it should be filtering that out.
That said, I haven't found any chatter in the World of Tanks or War Thunder player forums that would indicate they are being swept up in this as well.

I'll agree that this is clueless - the Balkenkreuz is not a forbidden symbol in German in the same way as the Swastika is, but then this likely isn't something being implimented by somebody who knows anything about history, given the problems that Youtube history channels have with random censorship actions...

(I don't think I need to point out that Japanese Hinomaru are likely going to be safe because nobody is showing up to extremist political rallies wearing that symbol in the US or Europe. Same goes for the old Soviet flag that others see as a symbol of oppression.)

So in the interests of science, and to test this hypothesis, has anyone here had a video deleted of a German vehicle before you applied the markings, or one of a fully finished modern German vehicle?

I try not to model SS tanks or vehicles but I do have a few. They aren't meant to celebrate the SS. Trying to alter or just make history disappear is scary and also increases the chance of them happening again

Facts don't matter as the people that build these AI systems base it on feelings and don't care about the truth. The people that complain also don't care about the facts. All they know is how they feel about it and they feel like it's wrong.

I also have to be pedantic and point out that it was only adopted by the airforce in spring 1918, and that arm ceased to exist later that year. It was reintroduced in 1935

Joking aside, I'm just trying to figure out what the trigger is here. I have some KingTigers here that I need to get a move on with, I might use them for a little experiment
