Re: [WINTER] Porsche Turret King Tiger w\Commander
Good Morning, Mr Chef,
I must admit, I told myself to run the M5 as it was. That lasted until I wondered what aftermarket parts were out there for it. One Aerial from Forgebear and a much more accurate 30. Cal MG from Battleground and I've told myself that I'll stop at adding an Led to the turret spotlight and weathering a bit...Whew! I just need to do these few things and get it out of the way. The M5 runs perfectly as is, I just need to figure out how to turn up the sound. As for the KT, the turret is almost complete. I need to detail the replacement MG34 and I can set it aside and begin stripping the lower for the new roadwheels and suspension arms.
regards,
Painless

Use the sticks with delicacy, Painless: that M5 is a real speed demon. I added a better speaker to get a bit more sound (which sound is not bad for RTR). Turning up my hearing aids helps, too.
And, yes, Pat O'Day's goodies came in handy. viewtopic.php?p=361630&hilit=M5+Stuart#p361630

Even the "demonstration" setting (I guess that's "slow" in Coolbank-speak), is still very twitchy. I find it much like driving my old RX13 HL PZIII. The Stuart is still a cool little tank and I think Kaczor had good luck with a Beier board in it.
Painless, you are a collector of all things great and small!

Good Afternoon, Gentlemen!
Herr Doc , I was afraid of that and did not want to open the Stuart up as I figured it was chocablock with wires and hoses, boards, etc. A better Speaker can be had.
Mr. Collector, I remember the speed of the original HL Tiger 1 and will keep this in mind! ;o) The Stuart is cool and I am amazed by how nice it is right out of the box.
regards to you both and Thanks! for looking in,
Painless

Good Morning,
I thought I would drop in one more shot of the MG34 and a couple for the just completed Browning 30. Cal for the Stuart.

Love the MGs! That is the best .30 Browning I've seen yet!

Ecam!
Thank you. Sir. The MGs can be done up much better than my aged efforts. The 3D model work by the fellow from Battleground is really exemplary!

Good Morning,
Thanks for looking in! It's not raining up here today so I should be able to get the markings on the turret and start work on the upper hull next!
