Good Afternoon,
That Sherman has certainly been through it! Still motoring on tho' The only thing I could think to make note of would be to add some strapping for the cans and boxes on the back and a single mount for the one road wheel up high on the front and a stout plank for the road wheel and spare track on the glacis to sit on. The level of detail and weathering is great!
regards,
Painless

I like John and ECA, but ordering parts from there take so frickin' long to arrive.

Yeah! Poppy is definitely a veteran, exhausted, beat up, but still on the move. I like the idea of the smashed up, broken off trees as extra armor (the kind Patton forbade his tankers).
I do agree that all the stowage (so American) need to be lashed down in some credible way. For one, I find it rather easy to put the boards across the Sherman transmission covers. I use an appropriately-sized piece of Plastruct or Evergreen "angle iron" cut to length so they fit from the transmission cover to the forward edges of the fenders. Then I cut a piece of wood (even a popsicle stick can work) to fit between the angle iron and set it in place. Viola! Of course, you will need to dirty the heck out of it all, but clearly that's right in your wheelhouse!

As for the ropes there are two options:
1 - use a cigarette lighter and move the wire you use slightly trough the flame, all the loose hair wil burn and resulting in a nice crisp cable.
2 - use cotton thread yarn from you wife's/mother's sewing box, its much thinner and resembles real rope.
