Introduction

Post by PanzerCmdr »

Hello from Texas! I'm getting back into 1/16 RC tanks. My main interest is WWII but I do have some modern tanks (HL T-90 and HL Leopard). My favorite is the Tiger 1. I have a HL one, with which I've done some upgrades, including barrel servo recoil, smoke, and flash.

Welcome aboard. The Tiger 1 is also my favorite tank. Post photos when you can.

Thanks for the welcome. I currently have the Tiger disassembled, improving the mounting of the barrel smoke setup. I'm hoping we get some rare snowfall next week here in SE Texas so I can take some photos/ video of the Tiger prowling the frozen steppes. ;)

Hello, there! "rare snowfall next week here ...so I can take some photos/ video of the Tiger prowling the frozen steppes." Excellent idea! Welcome and please do post photos/video.

I cannot figure out how the south is getting snow and almost all of it is gone here in the north. That's weird. Now yesterday we hit 48 F degrees and tomorrow we will be sub-Zorro F. That's weird, but not particularly unusual for Wisconsin.

Welcome from Elgin, TX. It's too bad we no longer meet out there in the Houston area. Right now the weekend meets are happening in Nolanville which is quite a drive from Houston.

Hey, tankme. I remember you from RCuniverse.

I don’t mind driving for some tank meetups. Nolanville’s not too bad of a drive, especially for Texas. ;)

Is there a website with a meetup schedule? Also, is there a preferred IR setup for the meetups? I currently just fool around with the stock HL one, since it’s just me, but know there are other options available.
