Cordless...

Post by BarrelEnvy »

...airbrush.

Anyone tried/use one?

Any good?

Total waste of time?

Just for occasional use.

Squidmar on Youtube reviewed a couple of cordless airbrushes that weren't that bad.

I took a gamble and ordered one of these. Cheap enough for a giggle if it's utterly hopeless.

Paid £8.20...

Hey, even if it's not the greatest, it'll probably be good enough for throwing on coats of primer or hairspray.
Aliexpress--my low willpower neighbour at the cottage cut himself off cold-turkey to curb his spending. Said he saw lizards--that looked way bigger in the ad--on the walls for 3 days!

This airbrush is very good for local moments, as is the version with a cylinder.
All modelers at competitions use them (carrying a compressor with you is very inconvenient and
takes up extra space), for touching up minor damage, after flights, transportation, or after unsuccessful runs.
For normal painting, i.e. long-term, it is not suitable, a mini compressor will not last long....
Motor Pressure
30PSI
Working Pressure
20PSI
Average Air Consumption
7-10L/min
Working time
50 mins for continuous working
