Hey everyone,
My name is Kevin and I've been RC Hobbying for 49 years, but I'm new to tanks. I currently have a Heng Long Tiger I which I am converting to run with a radiolink receiver and Taigen V3 Control board.

Hello: Obviously, since you have installed a Taigen V3 control (with sound card) in a HengLong Tiger I, you are likely already comfortable switching out electronics. The Taigen V3 multi-function board (MFU) was designed so it can be used with a different transmitter and receiver; whereas, the HengLong multi-function boards require a dedicated HengLong transmitter. It seems that you may already know this to be so. Have you been up to anything else with the Tiger I? What MFU (electronics) did the HengLong Tiger I have in it originally? Did you get it new? I hope you can keep us informed as to how the tank is working.

They aren't compatible. You are correct. I'm not quite sure what he's trying to do either but the Heng Long IR battling system hardware isn't compatible with the Tiagen V3 hardware AFAIK. Maybe he knows something that we don't? The IR battling system will register between the 2 systems but in my experience they aren't 100% compatible. I do know another member here Tankme has better luck than I when battling between the 2 systems though.Jofaur86 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 8:43 pmHello and welcome to this forum. I don't really understand your problem? Are you talking about a V 3 Taigen type card, which you would like to install with 6.0 or 7.0 electronics from Heng Long? This is not the same type of hardware, indeed the V3 works with an RX, but unless I'm mistaken? does the HL 6.0 or 7.0 have its own dedicated TX? would be surprised that is compatible? look on the internet, you will find quantities of diagrams, and also the "electronics" post of this forum, contains many useful explanations
